The Pressure Cure® system saves John Bush from long lines at the elevators
In December of 2006, after months of persuasion from our grain marketing consultant, we decided we needed to have more grain storage on our farm in anticipation of a big corn crop in 2007. We shopped around and met a fellow farmer who had just built three bins with the loop system. After checking out the site, I noticed he used no heat or stirring devices to dry his grain. I was skeptical, but wanted to learn more since propane is expensive and stirrals are high maintenance. After calling on Kerry Johnston, CMC’s regional sales rep, he explained how the Pressure Cure® system worked. I was still skeptical, but wanted to try anything that did not involve stirrals. Our decision to go with CMC and the Pressure Cure® system could not have been wiser or come at a better time.since Mississippi had one of the biggest corn crops ever. With stories of long lines at the elevators we were not delayed at all since we had plenty of storage and our combines never had to wait on trucks. Our decision to begin harvesting at a higher moisture made me nervous since we in the south usually let our corn fielddry. We had no trouble drying our corn in a timely fashion and the quality of the grain was high. We utilized the OPI-One STORMAX temperature monitoring system, which proved to be invaluable. The sales rep and technical support team are easily accessible and helpful if we have a question.
