The OPI StorMax - CMC Pressure Curing Partnership

CMC and OPI have teamed up to deliver a key component of Pressure Curing - the OPI StorMax Temperature monitoring systems:

  • StorMax helps track drying progress. By monitoring the cooling that occurs when moisture evaporates off the grain, you can follow the drying front as it moves up through the bin.

  • StorMax is your storage management tool. Regular monitoring of temperature trends provides peace of mind, as well as an indication to whether fans need to be run to maintain fans need to be run to maintain optimum grain value.




Retractable Temperature Cables

 
  • Sensing Element slides inside outer tube for ease-of-service, and greater reliability, even when the bin is full.

Multi-Cable Recommendations

Single center cables provide effective monitoring in bins up to 20 feet in diameter.

Bins 24' in diameter and over require multiple cables to do a good job of monitoring.


The diagram shows that a 42' bin containing one center cable provides only 20% monitoring coverage. To get a true picture, a 42' bin should have five cables to accurately monitor bin conditions.



StorMax Adapters

StorMax offers a number of adapters so that other kinds of cables can enjoy the StorMax advantage. Read new StorMax cables directly into the DM monitor, and existing cables using StorMax adapters.

Plug into OPI-ONE cables with the StorMax OPI-ONE adapter.


Plug into Thermocouple cables with the StorMax T/C adapter system.



Option for Automated Monitoring, Alarms and Control

StorMax can be easily upgraded to StorMaxPro for automated monitoring alarms and control. 24-7 monitoring with alarms sounding if grain starts to go out of condition. StorMaxPro can also control to specific temperature and moisture targets on a bin-by-bin basis. Multiple sites can be inter-connected by wireless or via the Internet.
