About CMC

In 1982, Bruce Halland, founder of CMC, faced a challenge: harvest his wheat crop early and wet or lose it to rain. Out of this problem came the basis for the Pressure Cure® system.

Over 24 years, the system has evolved and realized more profit for another 20,000+ farms in 40 states and on three continents. It works in all types of conditions and crops because it uses basic laws of science – pressure, relative humidity and constant states of equilibrium in each marketplace.

CMC works hard to create value for your crops in an integrated approach that fits the way you farm—first in your crop choice, genetics and traits, second in harvest management, third in the curing process and fourth in market uses for your unique, high quality crop. Today more than 20,000 Pressure Cure® Systems are in use representing millions of bushels.

Expanding Markets

Ethanol Groups: CMC is working with national and local ethanol groups. As you look at the “25x25” industry efforts for 25% bio-fuels by 2025. We believe this will rapidly expand the demand for storage and put focus on the right type of specific genetic package to deliver the highest ethanol conversion – meaning unique storage to hold a specific identity preserved feedstocks.

US Grains Council: CMC is a member of this key industry group and actively works to expand US exports.



Creating New Value

New American Farm:

CMC is working with this unique group is bringing together 1700 producers and 2.5 million acres of corn in Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska. We will be working with New American Farm to help them recruit their 1700 members.

  

 


Favored Grain:

CMC is working with Favored Grain to create unique closed systems that provide identity preserved grain for end markets or feed.

  

Pattison Grain:

CMC is working with Pattison Grain on their grain contracts, where they seek the highest quality grain and pay a premium.
